Pricing & Value
Over the summer, we visited Honeyccino Kids Cafe in Oakleigh multiple times to escape the heat. While we absolutely love this place, it’s important to mention that it is not cheap. Expect to pay around $45 for two adults and a toddler for a two-hour limited play session.
Play Areas & Layout
The venue is well-structured, offering a variety of sections catering to different play styles. Upon entering, the reception area is welcoming and well-organized, leading into the food court, where parents can enjoy a meal while watching their kids play.
The play areas are divided into different zones. A small slide with a ball pit and a larger slide with an even bigger ball pit are popular attractions, particularly for energetic toddlers. The trampoline area is available but generally sees less activity compared to the slides. The mezzanine dining area provides an elevated space for families to relax, while the undercroft play area offers a shaded zone for kids to explore. The upstairs playrooms feature quieter, interactive activities, making them ideal for children who prefer a less chaotic environment. A small train track loops under the loft, though it lacks excitement and could be better utilized as another ball pit or interactive play area.
Experience & Engagement
This play cafe is perfect for a 2-year-old—it’s clean, and the staff are fantastic. Our daughter’s favorite activity was climbing up to the slides and sliding into the ball pit, which kept her entertained for most of our visit. The market/store-themed play spaces were another highlight. The trampolines, while fun, were used less frequently than other play zones. The upper playrooms offer a quieter, engaging experience with a variety of interactive elements.
Food & Amenities
The food is expensive but average in quality, primarily consisting of standard kids’ meals like sausage rolls and chips. While these options appeal to toddlers, they may not be particularly enticing for adults.
The amenities are well-maintained, featuring a kids-level sink, which is a thoughtful addition for little ones.
Final Thoughts
Despite the high cost, Honeyccino Kids Cafe is a fantastic indoor play centre for younger children, offering clean facilities, engaging play spaces, and friendly staff. The price and average food quality are notable downsides, but for those willing to invest in a premium play experience, it is well worth a visit.
